The Queen’s Park Book Festival is delighted to announce a packed weekend of literary celebration and debate in the heart of one of London’s favourite parks on Saturday 30 June and Sunday 1 July.

Back by popular demand, the festival will bring together a mix of local, national and international writers and fresh literary talent led by the new Festival Director Thomas du Plessis. With over 40 events across the weekend there is something for everyone, with the programme covering current affairs, politics, fiction, stage and screen, sport, music, cookery, poetry and more, as well as free children’s events and family-friendly activities. The festival will also put local talent front and centre, shining a light on the extraordinary creativity of North West London.

Summertime is well and truly arriving in Greenwich over the coming months as game changing London venue Studio 338 sets out plans for yet another unique and irresistible Summertime Pool Party series. Based on three corner stone musical genres, each party will get a unique production set, suitably selected street foods, special cocktail menus and of course a breathtaking line up of DJs and live acts. All to be enjoyed in your swim suit (if you're that way inclined) at pool side.

The parties will take place in the beautiful open air garden as well as the brand new glass atrium Terrace. Upping the anti on last year's sell out pool parties, 338 will be shipping in another high spec pool this summer to double the chance of getting wet and wild.

When's the next train to Barking?! Doggy-mad designers have created a unique display of bespoke doggy dream homes designed by celebrities, renowned architects, artists and designers for a BowWow Haus installation.

Visitors to St Pancras International from 19 March 2018 will see the special BowWow Haus kennels on the upper mezzanine of the station until 26 April 2018 when they will be auctioned off in aid of Blue Cross pet charity and US based Outdoor Arts Foundation. Funds raised will help the thousands of sick, injured, homeless and unwanted pets the charity cares for each year.

To commemorate the day, Earth Day Network begins its Plant the Trees campaign, which aims to encourage people to plant trees in their communities. The campaign's ultimate goal is to reach 7.8 billion trees around the world by 2020.

Leading Thames river cruise company Bateaux London, at river cruise has announced the return of its afternoon tea cruises on the largest and most sophisticated boat on the river.

From 2 April, on Wednesdays through to Saturdays, Bateaux London’s flagship, Harmony, will weigh anchor to take guests on a 75-minute cruise, taking in some of the city’s most iconic landmarks.
