Upcoming events at Hoghton Tower

Sunday 2nd October 10am -4pm Tudor Takeover Day

As part of our celebrations of the 400th anniversary of the visit of King James we invite you to enjoy a range of creative, hands-on activities whilst learning about life in Tudor times in a truly stunning historic location.

Learn the history of Tudor Music and Dancing, taking part in traditional dances with Merrie Noyse; Find out about Tudor Costume and Grooming, how did they keep those clothes clean? Or discover Tudor Potions and Charms, what was used to fend off disease and illness. There will be Tudor falconry demonstrations and martial arts demonstrations throughout the day from Albion Falconry; and Archery to enjoy in the barn along with an optional Tudor menu in our Tearoom and local brewed ales to sample!

 Entrance fee of £10 Adults and £8 concessions,

under 5’s free, includes parking and access to all workshops.

Sunday 16th October 10am- 2pm

Merchant of Hoghton Farmers’ Market

Admission £1 per car to the market. Pedestrians 50p

House open for guided tours 11:30am to 4pm, with the last tour at 3.30pm

Admission for House tours: adults £10, children and concessions £8.

Tea room and gift shop open

 Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd October - 10am to 4.30pm

Crafty Vintage

Admission £2 per person, under 16’s free

We are purveyors of classic vintage, collectables, retro wares, quirky handmade, fine foods and delectable cuisine. Come along and see a magnificent showcase of talent from the finest creators, collectors and artisans in the land at this magnificent location
