Scone Palace, one of Scotland's favourite visitor attractions, has been named one of the most pet-friendly places to visit in the world, and voted animal lovers' favourite in Scotland.

The historic Perthshire attraction, ancient crowning place of the Kings of Scotland and a popular events venue, came in the Top 20 favourite places for pets ina poll of more than 10,000 people in 130 countries.

Scone Palace was named in the top seven of the U.K.'s most pet-friendly places and outranked several other famous Scottish locations, making it the animal lovers' favourite in Scotland.

The UK’s oldest continuously-working theatre is opening up a new chapter in its illustrious history when it throws open its brand new doors this autumn, following a multi-million-pound transformation. The world-famous Bristol Old Vic, founded over 250 years ago in 1766 and the place where Daniel Day Lewis, Kwame Kwei-Armah and Jeremy Irons once honed their craft, has a unique place in British theatre history.

From this November, as well as offering inspiring and though-provoking theatre productions, it will become a unique heritage attraction and a major social hub for the city.

The National Wallace Monument in Stirling to commemorate historic battle

An exclusive evening event will take place at The National Wallace Monument in Stirling to commemorate the Battle of Stirling Bridge anniversary on 11th September this year. The ‘Knock on History’s Door’ event will give visitors the chance to see the Monument in a new light as they explore the building.

Visitors can choose between two time slots – 5.30pm and 7pm – with only 35 tickets available for each tour. Guests will be invited to explore the Monument’s galleries and exhibitions and take in the beautiful views from the crown.

As they climb the 246 stairs to the Monument’s summit, they will learn about William Wallace, his role in the Battle of Stirling over 700 years ago, and the legacy that the Monument commemorates.

ROARsome T-Rex Arrives in Leeds City Centre!


Mysterious dinosaur footprints have appeared on the streets of Leeds this week – and it can now be revealed that they belong to a huge animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex which has ventured into the city centre.

The prehistoric predator, which measures 8 metres tall and 18 metres long, was unveiled at Trinity Leeds today.

The T-Rex, which not only moves but roars, will remain at Trinity Leeds throughout the school summer holidays before becoming extinct once again on September 2nd.

Visitors can also capture a selfie of the ‘roar-some’ replica, which is the UK’s largest animatronic T-Rex.

Revesby Country Fair will return on Sunday 5th August 2018 with a day packed full of entertainment, equine events and country pursuits.

The one-day show takes place in Revesby Park and will feature a headline appearance from the stunt-performing Atkinson Action Horses: famous for their appearances on BBC One’s Poldark and Peaky Blinders.

There will be a full day of dog and equine events, ‘have-a-go’ outdoor activities for all ages and more than 200 stands featuring food, drink, crafts and produce from many local Lincolnshire businesses. 

Some of the Lincolnshire’s finest vintage tractors and classic cars will be on display, while visitors can try their hand at archery, fishing, clay shooting, climbing and more.
