On Wednesday 12th September the first guests were welcomed into the £20M global first Bear Grylls Adventure attraction in Birmingham. 

Bear himself visited the attraction to give the exciting, adrenalin-filled activities the final once over. He said: “It was incredible to see this for the first time, after two years of planning. It’s all about bringing that spirit of endeavour into one place. This is the UK’s ultimate adventure destination where people can experience so many of the world’s most exciting challenges.

“You don’t have to go to the furthest mountain range or the deepest sea anymore, we’ve brought it all under one roof in Birmingham!

Meadowhall Cooks Up a Spooktacular Storm with The Witches Kitchen

Families across the region are invited to get into their gruesome gear and enter the Witches Kitchen at Meadowhall this half term, ready to enjoy some frightfully good fun.

Free to attend following registration, the Witches’ Kitchen will see monstrous mini master chefs travel through the tunnel of terror (watching out for slimy snails and wiggly worms) to the Cordon Bleurgh school. They’ll meet Scratch the Cat, sing toe-tingling songs together and help him sniff out the kitchen’s missing ingredient. Perfect for children aged 4-10 years old, the Witches Kitchen will be found on the Lower High Street in Meadowhall from 29 October – 4 November 2018. Sessions will run every 20 minutes from 10am and 2.30pm Monday – Saturday and 11am to 3.30pm on Sunday.

The sessions which have proved very popular in the past, will be running on the Chill Factore ski slope throughout the Summer months. The events, run by Subvert, a snowboarding retailer at Beyond, offer a unique opportunity for snowboarders to test new season kit and products for free, if they present their Chill Factore lift pass.
