Highgate Farm Caravan Park and Campsite is the perfect place for that summer getaway

Summer is nearly here, and as we head into the final term of the school calendar, panicked parents up and down the country begin to wonder how they will fill the long summer break?

One caravan park and campsite might just have the perfect solution.

Nestled deep into the lush Norfolk countryside, Highgate Farm Caravan Park and Campsite is the perfect place to go for a quiet, rural retreat.

The park has been run by dream team Lesley and Mike Smith for the past 16 years, but the site itself boasts an incredible history spanning more than 300 years.

This hidden hotspot has approximately 10,000 trees on site, making it a real haven for nesting birds and wildlife.

The park welcomes both touring caravans and tents, and offers a wealth of facilities to take the stress out of camping.

There are separate male and female toilets and showers, outside washing up facilities, an on-site drinking water facility, and electric hook ups on offer.

The surrounding area also has a shop, hairdressers, laundry, and Post Office nearby.

Although the four-acre site boasts neatly mown grass, and beautifully landscaped grounds and trees, the more adventurous guests can also take advantage of the natural beauty of the wider area. camping

Highgate is set in the heart of the stunning Norfolk Broads, and the famous Golden Sands of Great Yarmouth are just three miles away.

Rollesby, Acle, Potter Heigham, are also close by and visitors could even hire a boat, or visit the zoo at nearby Cromer.

However, if you’re taking the kids away but still hope to provide them with a touch of education, why not head to the historic city of Norwich?

Dubbed England’s first ever UNESCO City of Literature, Norwich tells a vibrant tale of history and culture.

Visitors can head to one of the city’s numerous museums, including the Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery, or visit the imposing Norman cathedral of St John the Baptist, and revel in the stunning stain glass windows and stonework.

You could even pop by the country retreat of the queen at the Sandringham Estate. lady on cliff

Alternatively, thrill-seekers can enjoy a rush of adrenaline at the Pleasure Beach and Pleasurewood Hills theme parks.

Highgate Farm Caravan Park and Campsite is the perfect place for that summer getaway.

With dogs welcome, the whole family can kick back and relax over a rustic barbecue, after exploring the wonders of this beautiful corner of the UK.
