The UK’s oldest continuously-working theatre is opening up a new chapter in its illustrious history when it throws open its brand new doors this autumn, following a multi-million-pound transformation. The world-famous Bristol Old Vic, founded over 250 years ago in 1766 and the place where Daniel Day Lewis, Kwame Kwei-Armah and Jeremy Irons once honed their craft, has a unique place in British theatre history.

From this November, as well as offering inspiring and though-provoking theatre productions, it will become a unique heritage attraction and a major social hub for the city.

To celebrate its 150th birthday year, St Pancras International has teamed up with Fortnum & Mason to offer guests a unique Afternoon Tea experience, complete with the opportunity to hear fascinating tales of the station’s past in an hour-long historic walking tour.

As well as exploring the stunning design of the station, guests will learn about the threat to demolish the building in the 20th century and its rebirth in the 21st century as a destination for premium shopping, eating and drinking, as well as the new Eurostar Terminal.

The owner of stunning Lake District Arts & Craft-style hotel Nanny Brow is celebrating after being shortlisted as a finalist in the Outstanding Woman category of the 2018 E3 Business Awards.  

Sue Robinson took part in a final interview with the panel of judges on May 9 and all were impressed by Sue’s extraordinary journey’  The ‘big reveal’ will take place in July at the Macron Stadium in Bolton, where 80 finalists will compete across 16 categories.

Sue has faced many challenges whilst breathing new life back into the five-star Nanny Brow.  ‘Discovering’ it in 2009, there were so many reasons to walk away.  Empty for seven years, the building was a wreck with no running water or electricity, but Sue had fallen in love.

Heritage Eastbourne is amid the process of re-building part of the UK’s largest Bronze Age trackway, by using replica tools from the same period of time, as it prepares for a new exhibition.

Making Tracks; Eastbourne’s Bronze Age mystery uncovers a pre-historic mystery from 3,000 years ago about life here in Eastbourne, opens on 21 March and is a free exhibition
